Lombard Wharf

Battersea Lombard Wharf

Lombard Wharf, designed by architects Patel Taylor for Barratt London, was completed in 2017. The building has a tear-dropped plan, twisted by a few degrees at every level. Most riverside buildings have a front and a back; this tower appears to be sculpted from a solid block with no single façade.

Unlike much river-front architecture, this building has character and personality and is a landmark of residential architecture on the Thames Path. These sculptural forms are a joy to sketch.
